A 23-year-old man faces several firearms charges after a 9 mm handgun and ammunition were seized during a search warrant execution Thursday in Orléans.
Ottawa police guns and gangs detectives, heavily armed tactical officers, the Direct Action Response Team and a K-9 officer executed the warrant on Axminster Court, near Orléans Boulevard and Lumberman Way.
Michael Levy, 23, faces several charges, including careless use, handle or storage of a firearm, possession of a weapon dangerous to public peace, possession of a restricted firearm without a license, possession of a loaded regulated firearm and possession of a firearm obtained by crime.
Police seized a gun during a search warrant execution Thursday on Axminster Court.
Levy was scheduled to appear in court on Friday.
