Four people were rescued from the Deschênes Rapids on the Ottawa River Sunday afternoon after their boat capsized.
The Ottawa fire department water rescue unit responded to the accident, which happened around 2:30 p.m.
By the time Ottawa crews arrived on scene, Gatineau Fire Services had rescued the four on the Quebec side of the river.
In May, a 24-year-old man drowned in the rapids after his inflatable boat capsized. A friend who was with him made it safely to shore.
