This might just be your chance to get that unfinished and crumbling cottage upgrade you need.
A new reality TV series with the working title Reno Rescue is looking for Ontario cottagers within a three hour radius of Ottawa with stalled or misguided renovations.
The idea of the series is to turn disaster into a finished job. The series features carpenter Dave Depencier and a team who fix all the mistakes and teach DIYers how to do things properly.
The show’s producers, Mountain Road Productions, are looking for projects that have stalled because cottagers don’t know what to do next and have some sort of visual progress such as open stud walls or plywood floors.
They will not accept inherited problems that came with the cottage.
If you think your project meets this criteria contact casting@mountainroad.ca with the subject line “Reno Rescue” and the following information:
1. Interior and exterior photos of your cottage including at least three photos of the stalled renovation;
2. A family photo;
3. A brief written description of the situation;
4. Contact information including email, phone numbers (home/cell) and the location/address of your cottage
Production begins this fall. The producers say the sooner you apply the better your chances of being on the show.
