Ottawa police are seeking public assistance in tracking down a suspect believed to be responsible for two robberies in which verbal threats were used.

On Tuesday, a man wearing a construction hard hat, reflective vest and pyjama bottoms entered a bank in the 200 block of Centrepointe Drive at about 1:50 p.m.,  brandished a handgun and aggressively demanded they turn over cash.

He was given an undisclosed amount of money, which apparently wasn’t enough as he vaulted onto the counter and demanded more.

He fled with an undisclosed quantity of cash.  There were no injuries.
