For the fourth year in a row, the City of Ottawa went over budget in 2015 in clearing snow from city streets.
The city had budgeted $59.8 million for its winter operations but came in at $67.4 million, a difference of $7.6 million, according to figures released to the Citizen Tuesday.
In 2014, the city went $11.3 million over its $57.6-million budget.
The deficit was even larger in 2013 at $23.8 million over the $55.3-million budget.
For 2012, the city went $5 million over its $55.2-million budget.
The city came in $365,000 under its 2011 $55.2-million budget.
