In the second incident, the police Guns and Gangs unit charged 25-year-old Khalid Abdi, also of Ottawa, with several offences, including possession of a loaded firearm, careless storage of a firearm and drug possession.
Abdi’s arrest came as part of an ongoing investigation and police said they would release no other information about the case.
