Hot tubs are meant to be hot — but not this hot. A group of children tobogganing in Ottawa’s Glebe neighbourhood Monday morning spotted flames coming from a home on Broadway Avenue. Firefighters arrived to find a hot tub ablaze on a second-floor deck.
No one was home at the time of the fire. Damage to tub and deck was estimated at $10,000 to $15,000.
