Numerous divisions of the Ontario Provincial Police co-ordinated raids on several addresses within Ottawa and the surrounding valley on Wednesday and Thursday of last week resulting in the arrest of two men on several drug related charges.
According to the O.P.P., officers executed Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrants on residences in the City of Ottawa and Laurentian Valley township resulting in the seizure of an unspecified quantity of cocaine, methamphetamine pills, hydromorphone pills, marijuana, cash and weapons.
Facing drug related charges in relation to the raids are Benjamin Schauer, 33 of Pembroke who was released on a promise to appear in court, and Sandy Wammes, 47, of Osgoode who has been held pending bail and will appear in Ontario Superior Court in Ottawa.
An O.P.P. investigation is still ongoing.
