A 32-year-old man is in hospital with a fractured upper leg and injuries to his back and head after he fell 15 metres on Tuesday morning when a tower he was working on toppled to the ground.
The Ottawa Paramedics Service said it responded to a call for an industrial accident in the 3000 block of Leitrim Road shortly before 9 a.m. The man was in the process of dismantling the tower when it fell.
The man was employed by a contracting firm from Kingston. He was in serious but stable condition in hospital Tuesday.
