An 18-year-old woman had to be freed from her car after a two-car collision at Viseneau Drive and Bromont Way in Orléans at about 6:35 a.m.
She was unconscious but breathing with a street light on top of her vehicle, firefighters said. She was extricated from the vehicle and taken to hospital in critical condition.
A second motorist did not need to be hospitalized.
An alert neighbour who snapped some pictures said residents have complained to City Hall for years about crashes that land vehicles on residents’ front lawns while traffic calming measures have been promised but not delivered.
Coun. Jody Mitic later tweeted that traffic humps will be installed this summer.
