It’s like speed dating but with a designer.
Twenty of the city’s top interior designers, decorators and kitchen specialists will gather for a special night of one-on-one design advice April 20. Award-winning designers including Leonhard Vogt and 2H Interior Design’s Ernst Hupel and Danielle Hannah will join Ottawa At Home magazine’s Mary Taggart, Deslaurier Custom Cabinets and more for 20-minute individual sessions at the funky restored EB Eddy building being used as the showroom for the Zibi mixed-use development.
“Twenty minutes of an interior designer’s time can change the way you tackle a project, look at your home, or think about your space,” organizers say on the event website.
The event, which runs from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., also features a design showcase of the latest in home decor, a silent auction and appetizers from Mixing Bowl Catering.
It’s a fundraiser for the Refugee Sponsorship Support Program, which brings together private refugee sponsors and free legal services, helping to make the sponsorship process easier and more affordable.
Tickets are $50 each ($20 if you don’t want time with a designer) and must be bought in advance. Get details at refugee-sponsorship-support-program.myshopify.com.
