Police are investigating several reports of gunfire across Ottawa, including one at a home on Tremblay Road, east of the Ottawa train station, where a resident discovered apparent bullet holes in her front door.

Officers called to the home in the 400 block of Tremblay at about 3:45 p.m. Tuesday found “evidence consistent with bullet holes” in the door and seized “projectiles” found inside the residence, police said. There were no injuries, and police were unable to say when the shots were fired.

Earlier, police were called to the nearby St. Laurent Shopping Centre shortly after 10 a.m. in response to a report of shots being heard in or around a parking lot. Officers were unable to find any evidence to corroborate the report.

Police have yet to confirm if the two calls are related.

The reports come just days after a man was shot and killed and another wounded at a restaurant on Cobden Road in Ottawa’s west end. Police continue to look for the killers.

The police guns and gangs unit is also investigating damage from shotgun fire to road signs and a private mailbox on Cooper Hill Road in rural south Ottawa on Jan. 2, police said Wednesday.

No suspect has been identified.

Anyone with information on any of the incidents is asked to call police at 613-236-1222, ext. 5050.
