The Ottawa Police Service have added a fourth stickup to the tally being racked up by a suspected serial robber.

In the latest robbery, a man entered a convenience store in the 1800 block of Baseline Road at about 8 p.m. Sunday. He pulled his shirt over his face to disguise himself and demanded money from the cashier. No weapon was seen.

The man was given an undisclosed quantity of cash and fled on foot. He was last seen running on Navaho Drive toward Iris Street. There were no injuries.

According to police, a suspect matching the suspect’s description is believed to have robbed another store in the 1800 block of Baseline Road on Dec. 18. He is suspected in two other similar robberies.

Police believe the suspect may have recently cut his hair very short. A witness in the latest robbery also indicated the suspect may have a tattoo on the centre of his chest. He was last seen wearing a black long-sleeved shirt or sweater, and a black ‘puffy’ style vest.

Anyone with information with respect to these robberies is asked to contact Ottawa police at 613-236-1222, ext. 5116. Anonymous tips can be submitted to Crime Stoppers toll-free at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
