An Ottawa teen was charged with stunt driving in Ottawa’s south end after being pulled over while on his way to a hockey game Sunday afternoon.
Ottawa police said the 16-year-old, who had a male passenger in the car, was going 148 km/h in an 80 zone. He was stopped by police in the Leitrim Road and Limebank Road area.
The charge comes just five days after he got his G2 licence.
The car and the teen’s licence were seized for seven days. He could face fines of up to $10,000, a two-year licence suspension and seven demerit points.
His court date has been set for next month.
