Personal attacks reveal more about the person who makes them than those for whom they are intended.
I believe that the former president of the Public Service Commission Ruth Hubbard’s remarks concerning Ralph Heintzman as an individual fall into that category. They weaken her case and have no place in a public debate.
Personal criticism is no substitute for a valid argument.
