The Caring and Sharing Exchange needs volunteers to support our Christmas Exchange program. We require individuals to help by making phone calls to hamper recipients, as well as volunteer groups to support our Running on Empties fundraiser. Groups are assigned a store for the day, where they will encourage patrons to donate empty bottles, with proceeds going to the program. The South-East Ottawa Community Health Centre needs volunteers with income tax preparation experience for their income tax clinic running from March to the end of April. Volunteers sign up to do slots of pre-booked, half-hour appointments based on the volunteer’s availability. You must be available for at least one day or half of the day, and evening per week. The Well, a spiritual and justice based gathering place for women and their children, needs help with the following positions: friendly visitor (two hours per week), kitchen helpers to assist with breakfast and lunch preparation (Monday to Friday from 10 a.m.- 1 p.m.) and computer room assistants to help women become familiar with the Internet, email and various software applications. The Hope Volleyball Summerfest 2016 planning team needs team leaders. Volunteers must be organized, reliable, a team player and fun! Like to drive and help people? Volunteering as a driver for the Hospice Care Ottawa day program may be for you!
