Ottawa police are asking for the public’s help to identify a suspect in a sexual assault that began late Monday in an apartment in the area of Bronson Avenue and Gloucester Street.
According to police, a man entered an unlocked apartment on Monday at around 11 p.m.
He is alleged to have sexually assaulted a woman who was in the apartment, confining her for a “long period,” before fleeing.
He is described as being of possible Philippine descent, with a large build, in his late 40s. He had a tattoo under one eye and another on his forearm. He has short curly dark hair with a rat tail at the back. He was last seen with a moustache and small beard on his chin, a noticeable aged scar is visible on the man’s nose.
Police believe the man may have been seen in the area over the past few weeks.
