Summer is getting into stride with a forecast high of 28 C later Saturday and people in the capital looking to cool off have four beaches available for their swimming and sunbathing pleasure.
The only exception is Petrie Island River Beaches, where the E. coli count is 273 per 100 ML of water.
But the green flags are waving at Britannia, Mooney’s Bay, Petrie Island East Bay and Westboro beaches today.
Westboro was closed Friday when E. coli counts soared to more than 1,000 per 100 ML of water, following the strong rains on Canada Day.
