Little Italy: Learn about the built heritage and community landmarks of Little Italy on a Heritage Ottawa walking tour of the community Sunday. Meet at 2 p.m. at St. Anthony of Padua church, 427 Booth St. (at Gladstone Avenue). Cost is $10 for non-members.
Waste depot: Get rid of your household hazardous waste at a one-day drop-off organized by the city. The next one (and the last until August) is Sunday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Fallowfield OC Transpo Park & Ride, 3355 Fallowfield Rd. Check here for a list of what is accepted.

Garden studio tour: Take a tour through Glebe gardens and studios on the Glebe Art in Our Gardens and Studio Tour July 4 and 5. From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. both days, see the works of 18 artists in nine locations. Get details and download a map here.
Antiques: Head up the valley for the annual Perth Antiques Show & Sale July 4 and 5, where 30 dealers will showcase art, china, glass, silver, textiles, tools, furniture and more. It runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Royal Canadian Legion, 26 Beckwith St. E. Admission is $7.
Gardens & studios: The Rideau Canal provides the link for the studios and gardens involved in the Rideau Lakes Studio & Garden Tour. See the works of more than 15 artists at 11 studios and seven gardens July 4 and 5 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is free and church lunches are available for $10.
