Internationally renowned forensic anthropologist Debra Komar tackles her biggest case yet, The Bastard of Fort Stikine: The Hudson’s Bay Company and the Murder of John McLoughlin Jr., a dark mystery at the heart of Hudson’s Bay Company history; 7 p.m. at the Ottawa Public Library, 120 Metcalfe St. The event will include her powerful presentation, “Murder at Fort Stikine: Solving a Centuries-Old Crime in the Hudson’s Bay Company,” transporting readers deep into the worlds of frontier justice and forensic science, and is free and open to the public.
