Environment Canada was investigating a confirmed microburst that destroyed a farm building and a trailer home near Cobden, about 120 kilometres west of Ottawa.
The weather agency dispatched investigators to the scene on Sunday to survey the damage caused by a microburst the day before.
A microburst is a column of air that sinks to the ground at a high speed. According to Environment Canada meteorologist Kelly Hobelman, preliminary findings have winds reaching 100 km/h.
The microburst, which happened as a band of thunderstorms moved through the region on Saturday, flipped a travel trailer onto the roof of a Chevrolet and destroyed a farm building.
There were no serious injuries reported.
