The RCMP is asking for the public’s help in locating a car that was towed from a hit-and-run crash on the Sir John A. Macdonald Parkway before police arrived at the scene.
Policy say the vehicle was heading east on the parkway near the Champlain Bridge at about 4:40 p.m. Wednesday when it hit a light standard on the south east side of Island Park Drive, causing significant damage.
The occupants left the scene and the car, which is believed to be a black Chrysler, was towed away before police arrived.
No injuries have been reported at this time.
The RCMP is looking to find witnesses for information on the crash, as well as learning which towing company removed the car from the roadway.
Anyone with information is asked to call 613-952-4200.
