Fibre art: Get warm and fuzzy at the annual Fibre Fling Show and Sale put on by more than 40 artists from Out-of-the-Box. Find quilting, felting, stitchery, rug-hooking and more April 10 and 11 at Kitchissippi United Church, 630 Island Park Dr. A $5 admission supports the Stephen Lewis Foundation. There’s also high tea for $10 (Saturday only). Hours are 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday.
Outdoor living: Get ready for summer with the Cottage & Backyard Show April 10 to 12 at the EY Centre, 4899 Uplands Dr. Get ideas for all your outdoor spaces and the toys that go along with them. Hours are noon to 9 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday. Admission is $12 ($10 in advance online; those 17 and under get in free) and parking is $8.

Art show: Add colour to your decor with an original work from the Manotick Art Association’s A Brush with Art show and sale. More than 40 artists will show paintings, photography, pottery and glasswork April 17 to 19. There’s a $10 admission charge for the Friday vernissage, although cash donations will be accepted for the Manotick Food Cupboard the other days. It’s at the Manotick Curling Centre, 5519 South River Dr.
