An Ottawa man faces a number of charges after a stabbing on the University of Ottawa campus early Wednesday morning.
Police were called to University Private, where several residences are located, when a fight broke between two men just after 1 a.m.. Police confirmed the victim was stabbed in the bicep and hand and was treated in hospital and released.
Jean Robert Degazon, 37, of Ottawa is charged with assault with a weapon, assault causing bodily harm, and possession of a dangerous weapon. He appeared in court on Wednesday afternoon.
