Dozens of minor collisions, due to drifting snow and slick roads, kept first responders busy Monday as traffic slowed to a crawl during the morning commute around the Ottawa area.
The edge of a storm affecting mainly Southern Ontario brought temperatures of -21 Celsius and was expected to drop as much as 5 centimetres of snow through the day.
The storm also delayed many flights at Ottawa International Airport.
Winds gusting up to 30 km/h during the morning commute made visibility difficult on roadways around Ottawa.
