Police are searching for a woman they say robbed a west-end convenience store last Thursday morning.
Police said the woman entered a convenience store on Merivale Road near Shillington Avenue on Dec. 4 at about 5:25 a.m. She went to a cooler to grab a bottle of water, then approached a store employee, produced a knife and demanded money, police said. She fled with an undisclosed quantity of cash.
The suspect is described as being a white female, about five-foot-four, of medium build, with brown hair.
Police said she spoke English with no discernible accent. The suspect was masked with a scarf and wore a hooded jacket with black and white stripes.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Ottawa police robbery unit at 613-236-1222 ext. 5116.
