See the dream: If you haven’t toured the CHEO dream home yet, take a peek. The luxury home makes up the bulk of the $1.76-million grand prize in the Dream of a Lifetime lottery. It’s open Monday to Friday, noon to 8 p.m. and weekends, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. until Dec. 12 at 536 Bridgeport Ave. in Manotick.

Home tour: Get in the holiday spirit on a tour of eight beautifully decorated homes in and around Carleton Place Dec. 6 and 7. This fundraiser for the Carleton Place and District Memorial Hospital offers both evening and daytime visits. Tickets are $25 and are available at several vendors in Ottawa and around Carleton Place. Perth heritage: Perth is also offering a holiday home tour Dec. 6 and 7. See eight homes dressed up by area decorators and florists from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. both days. Craft show: If you’re heading out to Perth for the home tour, check out the Nick of Time artisan show Dec 6 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the historic McMartin House, 125 Gore St. E. Unique decor: The Originals Christmas craft show returns to the EY Centre Dec. 11 to 21. Find one-of-a-kind handcrafted home decor and more by some 200 Canadian artisans. Hours are 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. weekdays, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday (closed Dec. 15).
