Halloween trick-or-treaters will be welcome Friday evening at 24 Sussex Drive, Rideau Hall and Stornoway.
Prime Minister Stephen Harper and Laureen Harper will help distribute goodies at their residence, the Prime Minister’s Office said Thursday. Security measures will be in place.
At nearby Rideau Hall, children and their parents are invited to attended a “haunted circus” inside the Thomas Gate visitors’ centre from 5 to 8 p.m. The event is to include a sword swallower and fortune telling.
Gov. Gen. David Johnston and his wife, Sharon, will not be on hand. Street parking is available in the neighbourhood.
At Stornoway, 541 Acacia Ave., Official Opposition Leader Tom Mulcair and his family will also hand out candy.
