Re: Property owners slate’ pledges an end to green bins, return of weekly garbage collection, Oct. 7.
I am dumbfounded after reading that some candidates for city council support the idea that we should return to weekly garbage pickup, and that there is a slate of 15 candidates whose top two issues are a return to weekly pickup and scrapping the green bin. They are all dinosaurs or panderers trying to get elected.
Should these options ever happen in the future, then I have a suggestion: the other citizens of Ottawa who aren’t too lazy to recycle would like them to build the new city landfill in their neighbourhood. It is a fitting consequence for their actions.
